While this can certainly be implemented, I do wonder about the motivation behind this. Is there maybe some problem in our startup timing that he wants to work around? |

Nothing wrong with the startup timing that i have noticed. Is this going to be implemented in the next release? |

The motivation would be speed and freedom. Sometimes you logon to do something fast without being slowed down by all the autostartups. When finished doing your fast business you will be able to run your autostartups on fly using bang command. Sometimes themers use animations for their themes to load such as fading/sliding in/out elements and want that to be made in peace without lagginess caused by the autostartups. There are many situations this function would prove useful in.
BTW im WoXoW. |

But if this is needed to (among other things, as you noted) work around animation issues then we should rather fix the issues than provide a workaround. |

Animation issues are not the motivation. Flexibility and the freedom of choice is. Sometimes you logon do your business without needing your autostartups then log off or shutdown. In some cases you dont want to log of or shutdown as you may have changed your mind and want to have your autostartups to start. Of course one can log off then log back on without holding SHIFT key down (assuming LS is set to "default" autostartups setting). |
